Watch jerusalem calling HDToday. The Palestine Broadcasting Service was created in 1936 by the British mandate to rally the Arab populations to colonial policy. Through its Arabic-speaking section 'Radio Al Quds', it covered the Palestinian revolt, gave voice to Palestinian nationalists while broadcasting rich programs. It quickly saw the establishment of censorship and repression by the mandatory authority, until its sacking in 1948.
